Problems

I have used Turbo Tax for years but this time I had major problems. I had my taxes half done, then lost it all. So I redid the whole thing. I was finished except for some financial info I was waiting for. When I went to get back into the program it would not open. I finally redid my entire taxes! Very upsetting!!
What's not so great: Lost all my work because couldn't reopen program.

I've been using Turbotax for nearly a decade and have been pleased with its continuing ease of use.
What's great about it: Affordable, dependable, user-friendly
What's not so great: Last year's info didn't transfer; glitch in the system?

Outstanding Tax Software

I've been using TurboTax since 2000, and wouldn't even consider anything else. That's 15 years of continuing satisfaction. I prefer the 'download' rather than the 'online' version, and I'm happy to see that Intuit continues to offer that option. It is just so easy to use, considering the complexity of our tax code.
What's great about it: found credits I didn't know about

Can't do 1 state return out of Multi-state Income

Basic version has worked for last 15 years but was forced to upgrade to deluxe. Deluxe forces you to download all states return preparation for multi-state income. I just wanted to file 1 state with turbotax and rest with other online tools, but TurboTax will not allow you to prepare a return for just 1 state. Used Tax Cut online for free and it works just as well as TurboTax.
What's great about it: Easy to use after upgrade
What's not so great: Forced upgrade from last year
Pros: I bought or sold investments

slow start this year due to changes in Deluxe version. Turbo Tax did a great job in listening to the users and gave us free download of Premier version. Hopefully next year Deluxe will be back to the previous years version.
What's great about it: simple to use
What's not so great: difficult to find individual forms

Easy to Use

Only bad thing this year was that had it not been for a review I read on line I would have purchased the wrong version - the same as I used last year. You really did a poor service by changing contents without clear advance notice and stupid to do it anyway because of the confusion it caused - why not just raise the price a bit. But, I will still use your product as it works so well and I am attached to it because of previous years use.
What's great about it: Very simple to follow
What's not so great: Had to buy a higher level version
