Easy to file

We accidently picked up H&Rblock this year. Although I was able to follow the process well enough, my husband hated every second of it and went and got the TurboTax that we have used for years. Consequently, he was satisfied that his return was correct because he could more easily follow the instructions. I re-did my return, which turned out exactly the same, but I filed with TurboTax because then we'd have it on file for next year.

Hate the Extra Charges

Don't like the extra charge to efile State returns.
Don't like the extra charge for ordinary investment forms.
Don't like the hard sell to buy audit help.
Would like help on 1099 R's that were inherited.

having Turbo Tax makes it possible to complete our taxes much faster and accurate
What's great about it: liked that capital gains were computed
What's not so great: some of our 1099-Rs were not transferred over

Grateful for TurboTax

Last year I had my return prepared by a professional; it matched exactly what TurboTax had prepared. It's comforting to know I have been doing accurate returns for these many years.
TurboTax did the right thing by upgrading to forms C & D. I would not have used TurboTax in the future if I had to purchase these forms separately for my simple investments.
What's great about it: Complete and accurate returns
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Mature Product

TurboTax has evolved into a great product that has never failed to solve my tax issues. I appreciate the features that allow data to be imported from participating institutions.
What's great about it: Easy to use; clear, no nonsense screen shots
What's not so great: Not sure which version I need; Am I buying too much product?

Works great, easy to use. The only issue I have is that you want to go back and check/review something, you sometimes have to answer questions that have already been answered to get to the information that you are looking for. Be nicer if you could get straight to it.
What's great about it: Guides you thru it all with relative ease
