Been using turbotax since the mid 1980S. Never a problem until this year... I read that you have seen the light and all will be well next year.. Delux always did everything I needed until this year.. What a pain.
What's great about it: Got a free upgrade
What's not so great: Had to solve the state download problem with the upgrade

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years and am very happy with the product.
What's great about it: Easy, comprehensive, logical, flexible
What's not so great: doesn't file state tax without additional charge
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Robert's 2014 Federal Tax Return
on February 24, 2015
Posted by: RobStaff
I have used TT Deluxe for many years and it contained all of the schedules I normally used. The 2014 change in format was an unpleasant surprise but the TT Premier update provided these schedules and facilitated swift completion of the return, especially with its reference to the prior year return schedules. The program provides a consistent means of updating or changing personal information, income and expense items, and making any corrections.
What's great about it: Continues to be easy to complete
What's not so great: Initially surprised by removed of commonly used schedules
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Disappointed

Very disappointed with TurboTax 2014 Premier. Seems like many of the features of earlier versions are gone. Entering real estate taxes paid quarterly as well as several medical related entries require totals instead of doing the calculation. Was not able to indicate willingness to contribute to the Presidential Election Campaign (never asked). With "improvements" like this< I may look at other software packages for next year.
What's great about it: Compatibility with TurboTax 2013
What's not so great: Lost features galore

How to report real estate tax for a piece of Land
on February 24, 2015
Posted by: Ahmadreza
Would be helpful if I could print only the page I am working on instead of printing the whole Retrun.
Also simplify Seller Finced Interests related section
What's great about it: It is easy to follow turbo Tax
What's not so great: Difficult to report Loan interest for Seller Finced Transaction
Pros: I bought or sold investments

a good product that gives me confidence that I have filed correctly. the transfer process from prior years of both personal and financial data is very helpful.
What's great about it: i have confidence in the correct filing of my taxes.
What's not so great: i should not have to upgrade to file a non-business return.

Too Many Problems This Year
on February 24, 2015

My husband and I are both Civil Service Retirees. His info went in correctly, but mine would not accept my health insurance premiums. We file jointly, but have different health insurance policies. So I had to put my premiums in as other health costs. Also in the review, it kept telling me that I did not put in my state code for state tax withholding, There was no place to put the state number in on my income page for my retirement. These problems gave me some stress. I'm still not sure if my 1099 civil service retirement input was processed correctly. Also, still not certain if my whole tax return is processing correctly. What a bummer this year! Last year was great.
What's great about it: Still good questions asked.
What's not so great: Problems with income section.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
