Turbo Tax

Felt was improved from year ago. Propriety ads were diminished or not as obtrusive.
Little perturbed that Schedule E no longer on the Deluxe version, but had to upgrade to Premier. Never had to do this in past years, frustrating.
What's great about it: Easy to follow, lots of rechecks during filing process
What's not so great: thought state forms were little ambiguous, NE 3800N????

ISO NONQUAL stock handling is very poor now that brokers are not required to send cost basis adjustments due to inclusion of proceeds into your salary. Luckily I knew something was up when my taxes due significantly jumped. Finding out how and where to input the data was not clear as in the previous versions of TT. Although it has never been very clear at this. I think you should ask a question in the W2 section if any salary was due to inclusion of stock sales and then match that up with stock sales as a sanity check. Also the questions on stock types should always be asked to help ask the right kind of questions when entering stock data. In some ways the data shown still looks a little strange in the app and I had to go into the forms to ensure it was ok. Even worse, I'm still not 100% confident I'm entering the data correctly.
What's great about it: For the most part straight forward and easy to use
What's not so great: Stock handling is very poor and easy to make mistakes

I've used this software for several years and find it easy to use and gets the job done. However, probably in an effort to get more money, all the talk over needing Premier if you had any stocks or investments, was a dud. Didn't need it, have used Deluxe before with no problems, but I coughed up the extra money for no reason! Other than that, no complaints.
What's great about it: I'm familiar with it so easy to use.
What's not so great: Didn't need the Premier as it said, so overpaid

Extremely easy to use; best tax software out there

I have tried other programs over the years, and Turbo Tax has proven itself to be the most user friendly software to file your taxes. I'm now teaching my kids how to use it.
What's great about it: Addresses points some may not even think of
What's not so great: None
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I keep getting my income tax denied and returned back to me. I called the IRS and they confirmed my PIN and I confirmed my AGI and still getting returned. Not very happy with the results.
What's great about it: everything goes well until the end.
What's not so great: can't fingure out how to get past the PIN

This is my first time. It was easy to use.
Had problem down load the free state files. Called the help desk. Had the most pleasant and patient lady to help me. She tried everything to fix the problem according to information on you web site but nothing worked. She called back today and download the new file and stay with me until it is working properly.
