* Hours Wasted

I spent 8 hours doing my mother's income tax. I live in Canada, have power of Attorney and handle all of my mothers financial affairs. She lives in the USA. After finally getting in the information and being ready to file, Turbo Tax asked to be paid. It would only accept American credit cards. I am Canadian and do not have an American Credit card. Last year there was no problem using the on-line version.
8 hours wasted. There are over 1 million Canadians living in Canada. You need to fix the on-line version.
What's not so great: On-line version does not accept Canadian Credit Card

Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy

Transferring data from the previous year saves a lot of time. Having the program do all the calculations saves a lot of time. Printing the return with mailing instructions saves a lot of time. Easily the best tax software out there. Recommended to everyone.
What's great about it: Short, simple, to the point questions that cut through nonsense
What's not so great: Ummm... nothing really

I would recommend this to ANYONE for doing personal taxes. I have talked my enter family into using Turbo Tax

Tuition could have gone in educational expense or in non-reimbursed business expense. Turbotax didn't provide much help figuring out which one was best. Had to find the IRS manuals and read them, of which turbotax just gave a link to IRS instead of the specific manuals.
What's great about it: Calculated everything for me
What's not so great: Federal ID of W-2 was missing and turbotax didn't have it, and little help with tuition

I've been using Turbotax for years and it is way easier to file with it than to prepare your return by hand.
What's great about it: Easy to use once you have all the info ready
What's not so great: Wish state e-file was free

I was sorry to see you getting in trouble with us long time users for selling the deluxe without the same features as before and still calling it "Deluxe". Some of us send the stock boy to the store to buy our TurboTax and so didn't know it had changed until we loaded in our computer.
What's great about it: Great way to do taxes, as always.
What's not so great: Too much "glitter" on some screens.
