Turbo-Tax Premium 2014 Review

I've used Turbo Tax for many (over 5) years now. The Deluxe version had some minor issues last year, but they seem to be addressed in the 2014 version.
What's great about it: Coverage of all the tax items I have
What's not so great: Had to upgrade to TT Premium to handle stock trades

Here I am ready to efile and bam I get hit with account ID and password - why not get all the information up front??
When you say I can print it doesn't print it just shows me the pdf file??
there is very little to no processing information up front. I don't always know what when, how, why, etc.
the only thing that has kept me is the pdf file - paged correctly. I can always find things. but frustration at the end of the process will make me look for a cpa next. year.
What's great about it: actual tax steps are OK
What's not so great: lousy user interface

Had trouble with a rollover of a distribution during the 60-day period. No questions were asked and had to find it on the form to make it come out correct.
What's great about it: Easy to follow questions
What's not so great: Not clear on why some things were happening. Like the increased standard deduction for those over 65.

Great but filing stinks

I've used turbo tax before, it was quick and easy, steps you through everything you need. Problem was when there is a problem you need to fix IT DOESN'T TELL YOU WHAT NEEDS FIXED!!!!! ENDED UP PAYING FOR E-FILING MY STATE TAX THEN COULD NOT E-FILE IT. Now I'm stuck trying to get a refund on my e-file.
What's great about it: was easy and quick. got what i needed done
What's not so great: could not get it e-filed
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

Simple tax to file but issues

I was completing my son's taxes and i just happened to download the state software (i was using it, not him) however, for some reason it looked like he had to file and i was unable to erase that he was not filing mo. state taxes, as he resides in texas.
What's great about it: Step by step instructions
What's not so great: Unable to delete state information

Very easy to use Turbo Tax. Have been using it for about 9 years. Love it!

Wouldn't print required Schedule A

In Arizona we might file Itemized deductions (for medical deductions not allowed by the Feds) even though we took the standard deduction on the Federal return. This REQUIRES a copy of the Federal Schedule A (filled out but not filed) to catch the portion of the Federal deduction that would be applicable.
I had to download a Schedule A from IRS.GOV and transcribe the numbers from TurboTax due to this limitation. This after spending a lot of time trying to do this from TurboTax.
What's not so great: Limited in many ways this year
