The program leads you to believe you have already filed only to find out the next day I go back in and it hasn't been e-filed. Also didn't let me know until I was trying to finish and e-file that I couldn't e-file my Maryland return because the program doesn't support credits to another state. :( not very happy right now.
What's great about it: Easy of walkig through
What's not so great: Doesnt finish

Turbo Tax Review

I would like more information and recommendations as to how to improve my tax situation. A tax advisor would make recommendations an look at different scenarios to help me improve my situation
What's great about it: Handles the calculation, leads me through the tax questions
What's not so great: I do not always have a good indication as to how to improve my tax situation

Strong armed at the exit gate

Easy to install. Walk trough design is pleasant and allows you to sit down a while and work then go away to collect data or regroup and return later. I enjoy learning taxes by doing and have a better understanding how to plan and reduce my taxes when im done. I dinged it one start for all the new pricing tiers and nickel dime add ons at the end to file. The charges are excessive in my opinion and may cause me to bail on this product after 15 yrs of use if they remain next year.
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: Addon costs for upgrades and filing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Pretty Good always will use it

Overall it is a very good product, will still use next year. Some questions are not clear. Had to use the Primer just for one form. Had to pay to eFile my state.
What's great about it: Easy transfer of last years data.

Need to make State Taxess more user friendly

With STATE you have to reenter everything if you want to recheck anything, whereas Federal has sections that you can review through an edit or update process by section. It would be nice to have the same section breakout for State so you don't have to go from front to back and redo the whole STATE form.
What's great about it: The Federal is great especially with the ability to download stock etc.
What's not so great: state needs to be made as user friendly as Federal

What's not so great: Software should include allowance for EFT/PS payments

You can take your taxes into your own hands with expert guidance. They allow you to do it on your own if you choose or guide you through every step and explain every phrase. It is great!
