I am filing my mom's return for her electronically, and there is no way --that I was able to find--to complete the section on page 2 of the 1040 which allows for a taxpayer representative to be designated.
What's not so great: no provision to add taxpayer rep information

Turbo Tax has some good features but I had trouble finding certain items when going back to check on some entries.
Cost of second state return excessive. Couldn't get logged in to Turbo tax account, forgot password, but I know I answered the challenge question correctly. It kept rejecting login and there is no way to get around this. Couldn't get any help to resolve this, just runs you around in circles.

What's great about it: Carrying forward information from last year. Seems to cover all topics.
What's not so great: Cost of second state return excessive. Couldn't get logged in to Turbo Tax account. No way to resolve.

it is very difficult to print a filing copy of Massachusetts state tax return. No matter what we do we cannot print a copy without having (do not file form not final) in the background.

What's great about it: Really through review and ease of filing
What's not so great: Explanations still needs work. Still confusing in areas.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Every detail is taken care of and you are reminded throughout the process of all that you should consider. Installation is easy, and completing your taxes is easy. Can't ask for more!

Why change a good thing?

I am not a high roller. I file my own taxes and occasionally sell investments to afford things such as tuition payments, home improvements, etc. I can't understand why Turbo Tax would choose to change the deluxe version this year without warning users. For the amount of "income" my investment sales gave me, I cannot justify the added expense of the premier version.
Please reconsider this next year! WHY CHANGE A GOOD THING??
I'm hoping there are no problems in getting the promised rebate for this issue. It may have been a good idea to walk users through that prior to the review!

What's great about it: I've been a user for years and appreciate using the deluxe version for all my tax filing needs.
What's not so great: This year I was forced to upgrade for a few stocks sold. I've never had to do this before.
