I have used Tobrotax for several years and will continue to used it into the future. I like the "its deductable" section
What's great about it: the let me guide you - using previous years information to speed the process
What's not so great: searching help topics not as clear as they used to be
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

It is so nice to not have to enter personal information like address, ss#, etc. every year as this is the 5th year we are using Turbo Tax. I like the checks that is does at the end. I also love the e-file. I hate paying to have taxes done. They charge so much. If I have a question, there is someone I can contact for assistance. It is nce to know there is help available if I need it. I will be using Turbo Tax again next year. Makes filing so very easy.

I have been using turbo taxes for over 20 years, this is the last year I will use it . over the last few year there has bee just to many issues. getting worse every year.

1099-Q forms

This year I had a 529 Qualified Education Form 1099-Q for money withdrawn for my grandson's college expenses. I had to search for the program area covering the form.
Additional comment: It is amazing to me how you can put together such a program with all the tax codes from our friendly IRS. You guys do a marvelous job. Thanks.
What's great about it: Going thru each type of 1099( ) form.
What's not so great: Not all 1099( ) forms were provided and had to find it.

If common stock forms are not available (1099-B, Schedule K-1) with Turbo Tax Deluxe next year, I will be using another tax preparation software program.
Many forms get added without any information, then have to be deleted later.
Carryover loss from Schedule K-1 from 2013 populated onto 2014 Schedule K-1 form even though I did not receive the form this year due to merger in 2013. No explanation available about how to address this.
I would prefer an option to NOT show refund at the top of screen the whole time.
What's great about it: Mostly easy to use
What's not so great: Cost

I've been using TurboTax for 30 years. I view it like Alternative medicine. I may be skeptical of it, but it's been working for a very long time so there must be something to it!

In the Charitable donation section when filling in the info it says you can chose "various" for the date when multiple dates are used. In the review section it says you cannot chose "various" you need to pick 1 date. That does not seem to be right to me. If I have donated items to the same organization throughout the year I am doing that on various dates. I had to go back and pick a date for many of my charitable donations. Confusing.

What's not so great: Review conflicts with directions in Charitable donations section
