Good!

I liked the ease of TurboTax. I was very disappointed that I did not receive an substantial tax refund this year compared to previous years.
What's great about it: Easy to do
What's not so great: way less refund
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Looking Forward to Next Year's Product

I love Turbo Tax and have used it for years. I'm a CPA working in public education and this is by far the best product I have ever used for my personal tax returns. I will love it even more when they go back to the products we know and love next year!
The problem I had this year was that Schedule E was not included in the Deluxe version, so I had to upgrade to Premier... just so I could report 63 cents of interest income I received on a Form K-1.
What's great about it: Overall, great product that I use every year to prepare my taxes
What's not so great: Change in schedules supported in the Deluxe version forced me to upgrade to Premier to report 63 cents on a K-1

Solid content. Easy to use.

I find turbo tax easy to use and solid. If your return is not super complicated, turbo tax would be a great choice. Would like to recommend that during the initial purchase that the price would be all inclusive for both the federal and state E-file costs. Also the package needs to include forms for people that invest in the stock market. Hopefully this will be corrected for next year. Customer service should include a website to chat and answer questions VS putting up a question on line and waiting for someone to answer it. I've been using TT for 10+ years and this has been the only year that I've been disappointed due to the 2015 changes. I will use it again.
What's great about it: Ease of use.
What's not so great: Required upgrade for tax payers with stock market income. Old Turbotax did not require this. Must change!

best tax tool ever

TurboTax has come a LONG WAY in making a "Once a Year" pain that nobody wants to tackle. I used to spend approximately $200.00 a year to have my taxes done, now I spend less than two hour doing my federal taxes.

With retired income, investments and the sale of a house in another state, TurboTax did not offer the help I needed to get through my taxes. I found myself looking into State tax sites in two states, and into Federal forms and instructions to glean the information needed to answer TurboTax's "easy questions." I have often done my own taxes using a tax book and pencil, with little more difficulty that this year's TurboTax effort.
What's great about it: Good clear guiding questions on topics I undershood!
What's not so great: Didn't clearify topics I didn't understand from the start. Extra cost to electronically file the first State return bad

A bit difficult this year

For some reason, this year the product had difficulty moving data from last year's return. I had to open the older one and correct few things. Also, for some reason, it moved expenses from last years that I did not want to include this year.
Finally, the packaging of the product this year was very confusing. You changed the names of the packets and what is covered. Very confusing..
What's great about it: Easy to navigate as usual
What's not so great: moving data from last year's return had problems
