I have used Turbo Tax for years and have never had a problem. My questions if there are any get answered immediately whether by chat, phone or forum. Most of all its so easy to use.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax is easy to use and follow, gives you everything that you need to get your taxs done quickly and easily.
What's not so great: Didn't like what they tried to do this year.

Didnt like the idea of having to pay more for Turbo Tax this year in order to get the same software as last year but at an increased expense.
Have been using Turbo Tax for at the last 25 years.
Why on earthe would you change things ,,,, there are a number of other tax programs out there I will be investigating from now till next tax season and will wait for the reviews prior to buying.. I didnt read any reviews this year because I didnt think anything would change..

The process for entering and adjusting capital purchases and sales hasn't changed in a decade. It's terrible in this day and age.
What's great about it: Quick to go through well-known items
What's not so great: Entering stock/option transactions is a bear.

2014 taxes

Overall the product is solid and I actually look forward to doing my taxes. Very easy to use and going back to add info is easy.
What's great about it: familiar, quick and thorough
What's not so great: had to upgrade to get my investment info in, price for filing state returns
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

Way toopricey.

I have been using TurboTax for 20 years. I started with TurboTax for DOS. I have watched the price go up and up, way ahead of inflation, but this last is just too much. Forcing people who need a Schedule C to buy Premier instead of Deluxe is where we part company. I will be buying TaxAct next time.
What's great about it: Very good software.
What's not so great: It costs way too much.

Problems

After start up it wound ask to update. The system locked up.
I had to uninstall and reload the disk each time I came back to TurboTax. Thank goodness the info I had loaded was saved.
What's great about it: Once program worked it was as good as ever. Have used for 6 years.
What's not so great: Every time I tried to sign on I had to clikck the icon twice to start the program. T

Required MacOS Update a Problem

A change in TurboTax's Mac OS requirements meant doing return on a laptop running a later OS. I transferred last year's return to the laptop. Running Turbotax produced an error — adding last year's and this year's pension fund tax deductions together resulting in a prediction that the feds would owe me, not the other way around! The only way I could eliminate the error was removing the 2013 return from the laptop and starting all over — manually entering in all personal information, etc., etc. So all past history was missing from my copy of the return and associated work sheets.
What's great about it: Minimal change in TurboTax interview
What's not so great: Problem workaround lengthy and history results missing
Pros: I bought or sold investments
