Every year at tax time when it come to money, "Its easy come easy go." But, by using Turbo Tax, the experience is tolerable.

Painful Task made relatively Pain-Free

If you do a decent jobs of keeping your records organized throughout the year ... and have them available when you sit down to "DO" your taxes ... this very painful process goes relatively smooth!
What's great about it: Step by Step Process
What's not so great: Soooo many forms to print out!

I have used Turbo Tax for over 20 years and find it to be a very thorough and easy product. I compared my Turbo Tax to my boyfriend's Tax Accountant several years and they were within a few dollars of each other. Even major life changes have been doable with Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Compares well with paid preparers
What's not so great: I sometimes ask the question the wrong way
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments

THE QUESTIONS ARE GREAT. THEY GUIDE YOU AND TRIGGER YOUR MEMORY IF AN EVENT HAPPENED IN THE TAX YEAR.
WHEN A TOPIC WAS UNCLEAR, I WOULD CLICK THE LINK FOR AN EXPLANATION, BUT THE EXPLANATION WAS UNCLEAR, I WOULD HAVE TO LOOK UP INFORMATION FROM A WEBSITE OR A TAX REFERENCE BOOK. I FELT THAT THE UNCLEAR TOPIC WAS LEFT TO INTERPRETATION, AND IT WAS UP TO ME TO DECIDE WHAT TO ENTER.
What's great about it: ASK GOOD QUESTIONS TO CAPTURE ALL DEDUCTIONS
What's not so great: SOME EXPLANATIONS ARE NOT THOROUGH, NEEDED OUTSIDE SOURCE TO FIND ANSWER
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
