TurboTax makes this so Easy

Turbo Tax provides bank import which generated a refund for me; if I had not imported then I may not have caught some information
What's great about it: easy to use and transferring the info makes it simple
What's not so great: should provide a plan for next year on tax saving strategies based on analysis of tax return

Awesome Product. have been using it for years in combination with itsdeductible (charitable contributions). Makes filing a ton easier!
Two areas to improve on:
1) carryover of prior year refund has been wrong 2 years in a row; minor error, but this is still a glitch.
2) I have children and need to complete form 8615 for both. Information is needed from the other returns. Ideally, turbotax could retrieve this information directly from another file. At the least, would be nice to be able to open more than one return at the same time.
What's great about it: Calculations, year-over-year import, logical flow, all paperwork, asks the right questions
What's not so great: NYS Refund carryover wrong; can not open more than one file at a time
Pros: I bought or sold investments

A Job Well Done

First, I wanted something up top so I could easily get from one section to another. I couldn't find it. Then I noticed something up there that was something of a table of contents but the title didn't imply that I could use it to navigate.
Going back and forth with my e-mail and accounting programs was not at all clear-cut.
Once all the calculations were done there were far too many screens to go through to get the e-file and printing done. Some of the screens were duplications (example: offer of a person to help with an audit). The printing screen was unclear in that the options were to save a pdf or preview. All I wanted to do was print.
What's great about it: It all gets done and I feel confident
What's not so great: Navigation needs help

Makes taxes easier

I feel that Turbotax is pretty simple to use. I do wish that more info was downloadable from more institutions. I realize that isn't totally up to Intuit but put some pressure on those institutions that are holding out. I also wish the charge for e-filing and bank processing of electronic returns would both go away if you have any influence.
What's great about it: For the most part pretty simple
What's not so great: More info should be downloadable

It appears that I may have been charged twice for completing state tax returns. Will check my statement to confirm.
What's not so great: Payment methods

Always the little things that get you

Imported last year's tax information to start this year's return. Last year, we had a K-1 form. This year we don't. TurboTax kep that information and didn't alert us to it until we reviewed the forms. Trying to remove the forms didn't work. Had to upgrade to Premier - fortunately, this is now free. But it was not intuitive to find the form and remove it. We kept getting review errors. Finally, we turned to online help, where this is a known problem and has been for several months. The workaround is clunky but works.
What's great about it: Consistency from year to year
What's not so great: Difficult to correct errors
