Best way to file.

I've used Turbo Tax now for 10 years plus. Easy to use.
What's great about it: Easy to follow
What's not so great: Extra charges
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

TurboTax and Intuit are Top Notch

TurboTax is a fantastic product to grow with. The interview approach works well for simple taxes and even for more complex ones. Users can start out with a lesser TurboTax product and move up over the years as their situation becomes more complex. Using this product over multiple years makes the process a breeze as it remembers you and your situation from year to year.
What's great about it: Remembers me from prior years, interview format is super easy.
What's not so great: After you fixed the Deluxe to Premier issue, there are no cons. You fixed that issue quickly and in a classy way.

Complicated tax laws made easy

Each year the IRS 1040 (even for a simple guy like me) gets more and more complicated with all kinds of twists and turns, limitations, details after details after details. It's like the IRS wants you to throw up your hands and just do the 1040EZ. Which of course means you'll be handing them more of your hard earned money.
But, with Turbo Tax, you make it easy (not EZ) for a straight-forward joint 1040 to be completed. Your Guide Me process is straight forward, easy to read and follow, plus with quick help and guides that can be called out to assist in understanding; it all adds up to faster return preparation. Plus, it maximizes the credits, deductions and allowances for minimizing the taxes paid.
Thank You for making such a complicated process less of a hassle each year.

Problems with Java Scripts

Encountered 3 different script errors when filing. Tried loading latest version of Javascript with no improvement. Proceeded with answering yes to continuing to run scripts. I hope returns were properly filed, although hope is not a good strategy when dealing with taxes.
What's great about it: Past returns have not had any issues. Very good product.
What's not so great: Frustrating issues with script errors when filing.

All and all.....I'm a long term customer of Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: I love the fact that I was able to download forms from my brokerage firm.
What's not so great: It would be good if it was possible to eliminate going through all of the most unlikely situations every year.

I have used TT now for many years. I have always been pleased with its results and ease of use. However, not being a tax person I have questions; but, when I look up the explanations, many times I have no idea what they mean. I suppose here is where I trust you to make sure the computations are correct and the resultant tax filing is also correct... assuming I made the proper entries.
What's great about it: Easy to follow
What's not so great: Some of the answers to the questions I have are still beyond my understanding.
