Turbo Tax was easy to use and navigate through. I was disappointed this year when I had to buy the next version of Turbo Tax to input my investments.

Difficult to figure cost basis for stock lot sales from long term drip plans with quarterly dividend reinvestment and stock spits over decades of ownership.
What's great about it: Very user friendly

Turbo Tax calculated all the depreciation for our rental properties. They also showed what was entered in previous years in each category. The big help was to prepare returns for two different states, and e-filing to each state. We have both a printed copy of the e-file and a PDF copy.

2014 TTax software

Software was excellent...very easy to work with. Just plug the numbers in (download or manual) and all calculations were automatic. On the downside, I was never informed that I needed to purchase a different version of the software (2013 Deluxe vs 2014 Premier) even though nothing had changed (except the numbers). I purchased the Deluxe and then had to return it for the Premier after a friend told me that the 2014 would not work for me. Should have been notified well in advance of the change.
What's great about it: Excellent...easy walk through of all possibilities
What's not so great: Didn't like the fact that I had to buy the Premier/ Investments & rental Property version.

I do not like the fact that I will have to pay a higher price in order to handle the few investments that I have. Otherwise I like the fact that the program does check and keeps track of what I did last year to remind me.
What's great about it: does the arthmetic automatically
What's not so great: asks too many questions in filling out the form

Turbo Tax made things right in giving customers availability (for free)t Schedule D when one had already purchased Deluxe. This will make me to continue to be a customer for Turbo Tax software.
What's great about it: TurboTax made getting Schedule D available without cost

Error Messages

See no. 1 above and keep pushing to get audit assistance that I couldn't determine that my forms were submitted!!!
What's great about it: Very easy to follow!
What's not so great: 1. Script errors but I was able to hit return and bypass them.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
