found college education deductions

Been using TurboTax for years, it is fast and flexible. If you know what you are doing, you don't have to answer all the wizard questions. The error checking is extremely helpful to find gaps and inconsistencies. This year TurboTax found same-as-cash college education deductions and also applied prior year investment losses to this-year-gains.
Highly recommend

Excellent program year after year

Excellent program. Have been using turbo tax for years. Didn't like what I saw on my return a few years back after using this program so took my return to a tax specialists....After paying hundreds of dollars, the amount they came up with was excatly what turbo tax did. And they said they could find more deductions than others...WRONG.....stay with turbo tax....
What's great about it: Simplet to use....very accurate....and less time then doing it by hand.

I pay more each year and get less

I've been a turbo Tax user since 2003 and each year I was to get a discount on the next year software , but Ive never gotten one. In the past I could fill my state tax for free, now you are making me pay. I really don't understand, but I do not plan to use turbo tax any more because at one point i could handle all my tax work on a single program, now there are 6 or 7 apps to make a person continuous spend more money while giving less. For more than 10 years I've used this software and each year you take away more..... Dissatisfied customer.
What's great about it: Electronic Filing
What's not so great: Price and noe we must pay for state

Filed early with nice refund

As always, the preparation was a snap. I used Quicken and Its Deductible making the upload of data fast and easy. Q&A approach assures all items are covered with popup windows offering detailed explanations and guidance. The links to IRS sites and publications helped with detailed instructions. I found that the problems of overlooking items or misinterpreting categories were eliminated, and I feel confident my e-filed return is correct.
What's great about it: Ability to review individual section details.

A Little Different for 2014

I have used TurboTax for a number of years now and always find it easy and explains situations along the way. As state in my cons section, I am very confused as to how our loss on a stock sale has or has not been carried over. That part I find frustrating, but overall, am always pleased with the ease and completeness TurboTax offers.
What's great about it: easy selection, clear questions/answers
What's not so great: not sure if it captured loss carryover for past two years

simple to file

I always count on the reliable of Turbo Tax to file my tax until this year. The change and extra charge was placed into the program create problems and worry for tax payer. program hick up until it fix later on. I doubt that I will use Turbo Tax next year again if this problem still exist.
What's great about it: After called customer service and fix was send, it is good now
What's not so great: initial call to customer service was charges for items not needed twice

I used Turbo Tax year after year and never really had any issues with it. Simple and easy to use. I recommend it to everyone I know.
What's great about it: Easy step by step instructions.
What's not so great: Didn't find any.

Troubling Software Issues

Errors that were supposed to be fixed for the Windows version of this software didn't work. "check updates" failed to help and the Manual download failed with a cryptic error. What happened? Past success with TurboTax doesn't help my confidence that my taxes are filed correctly with these errors occurring in the 2014 version. Considering the cost of this software, I am gravely disappointed.
What's great about it: Have Used it for Years
What's not so great: Maybe will not use it again.
