Was a form checker for IRS in college 50 years ago, so have some familiarity with a few forms. But, TT prevents most careless mistakes.
Because investment results are very complicated, the best TT feature is download from financial institutions. Also appreciated TT highlighting all the many checkboxes to get the many forms right.
e-file allows quick submission to avoid fraud from identity theft.

What's great about it: prompts for everything, downloads investment results
What's not so great: still need to assemble info, check with your financial institutions
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

It just would not be any easier to get it done by myself. I have used it for many years now and it only gets better.
What's great about it: Very easy to use
What's not so great: none

crashed three times and i still haven't filed my state taxes due to these crashes. i wont use next year.
What's great about it: tranfered last years taxes
What's not so great: program kept crashing when i hit "do the state taxes button"

Simplistic!

This Software is by far very user friendly and simple to use! And to think after all these years I gave away so much more money in having someone else prepare for me when all this time I could have done it myself!
What's great about it: Very intuitive!
What's not so great: Several instances of going back and forth to ensure everything was covered

First time user

This was my first time using Turbo Tax. I have done my taxes myself up to now. It saved me time, even as a first time user, and I expect it will save even more next year now that I have figured out some things I didn't understand. I will continue to use in the future.
What's great about it: Nice to have calculations completed for me; State return was a piece of cake with information imported from Federal retn
What's not so great: Expected more help walking through some of the questions (i.e. summaries of IRS documents, etc.)

LOVE Turbo Tax and have used for years. This year I had a hiccup with the credit card payment for the state of AL. It took a while to get through to a person on their 800#, but issue resolved quickly and professionally. Thanks!!
What's great about it: Ease of use - 7+ years running
