Easy, Easy, Easy

Been using Turbo Tax forever (well, almost). Loads easily, transports prior year info over effortlessly, walks me through step by step and checks and rechecks. This was the first year I had a complicated (stocks - bonds) return, and when I got to the hard part a message appeared stating that I would need the Premier software to effectively complete my return. NOT TO WORRY! without even leaving the screen I was on, and (because I was a returning customer) WITHOUT CHARGE (whoever heard of such a thing), my deluxe was upgraded to premier and the info transported over automatically. This did not end the good stuff! I was given the option to electronically transport information directly from my stock broker, and -upon accepting - this was handled securely, swiftly and correctly. Thank you, Turbo Tax, and SIGN ME UP FOR PREMIER FOR 2015!
What's great about it: All good
What's not so great: No Bad

Quick, Easy and Worry Free

I've been using Turbo Tax for probably 20 years. Every year it gets even better. Being able to import form directly from banks, brokers and other financial institutions is TOP NOTCH! I can't say enough about that feature. Stocks and the like can be somewhat confusing, but being able to import the actual forms takes all of the guess work away. I downloaded Turbo Tax one evening and less than an hour later I was done. I had no intention of even doing my taxes at the time, but after importing last year's information and the rest from other financial institutions before I knew it I was done. I can't say enough good about this software. I will never worry about doing my taxes ever again. So easy!
What's great about it: Easy to use and navigate. Simply answer questions and let Turbo Tax do the rest
What's not so great: Honestly can't think of any….

I am very happy with how the program worked. It was very intuitive to use. Good Job!
What's great about it: Easy to follow guides to make taxes easy. It was easy to enter my stocks that were sold.
What's not so great: finding where to enter my medical health insurance data took a little time to find.

Fast, like cat reflexes!

First world problems, but would be super cool to be able to take pictures of tax forms and have it automatically populate tax forms.
What's great about it: Fast, easy, consistent, dependable
What's not so great: Need ability to take pictures of forms with phone or upload photos of all tax forms to auto populate figures

Ease of use - can pick and choose information to include as it becomes available. Saves work. imports prior year's data.
On the negative side - more money for the same product last year - need to move up in order to get same filing capability as last year.

Been Using TurboTax for Ten Years

I've been using TurboTax and Quicken for more than ten years. The good news is that the step-by-step walk through is still the best way to make sure you picked up everything. The old "Jump to Forms" is gone; you can very easily jump to specific locations (whenever a new 1099 arrives in the mail, for example).
I try and do a first run-through (using estimates) before December 31st so that I have an idea about my tax situation while I can still make changes. Putting in estimates and then changing them when you get the final information is easy, and the "Review" process will make sure you update anything you mark "estimated."
I still don't like a direct import from Quicken; I want to go over the information I enter into TurboTax so I don't let it transfer/load automatically. I do an export (into an Excel file) of everything from Quicken so I can review and summarize the data, then import the numbers as I do the TurboTax walk-through. I always find things I haven't coded correctly in Quicken so this ensures I check the data before I enter it. Maybe belt and suspenders, but it works for me.

What's not so great: Quicken Import Requires Checking

Have used for several years; each year, Intuit seems to improve the program. It went quickly and easily this year.
