Turbo Tax 2014

3rd year I am suing the product. Simple things like how do I change from online to desktop...should be in FAQ and clear becasue i am sure a lot of people end up in that boat.
What's great about it: Easy to use. Very good walk through of each piece
What's not so great: Sometimes I found it difficult to find answers to my questions

simple program walks you through the complicated tax system for a lot less than having a tax individual do it for you.
What's great about it: easy to use, straight forward instructions

Great Experience but Exposed

I've used TurboTax for many years. I have found it to be excellent. However, with hacking and identity theft so prevalent I find the application lacking in security. Files are exposed to hackers with no internal way of protecting them. I use a third party encryption program for protection. It would be nice to have it built in.
What's great about it: Simple, fast and acurate
What's not so great: Security protection of files is lacking

This years tax charges

The new cost for the software and the additional charges have gone through the roof. Next year I will go with someone else.
What's great about it: software is good
What's not so great: costs and prices

Good Process

I have been using the Turbo system for a long time, and it has always been a comfortable process to follow. Since I have all my documentation by the time I start, it just makes things simpler. However, I mail my returns, reason: I trust the mail, more than I trust the ether since I do not know anything about the encryption of the transmission and obviously there are problems there.
What's great about it: If I screw up the information I can always reverify.
What's not so great: Sometimes it get confusing between the federal and the state.

All Good Except...

Schedule E worksheet still confusing, carryover, etc. That is why I buy the rental property version!
Everything else is good.
What's great about it: Most everything
What's not so great: Landlord depreciation stuff is not clear enough

Makes tax time easy!

I have been using turbo tax for 10 years and love it. The only problem I had this year was I had to return the deluxe for the premier.
