This is the only way to file your taxes! I would not use anything else, and have not used anything else for years.
What's great about it: Simple navigation, very thorough
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

Simplifies the unbelievably obtuse federal requirements.
What's great about it: Lead me through reporting proceeds of sale of my residence and applicable deductions.

I have used turbo tax for many years. I have found it easy to use, and like that it saves all my previous information, even if it is a little big brother/creepy.
We moved this past year, and so had to file two state returns. I have had to do this manually in the past (Pre Turbo Tax), and so put the extra money out to buy the extra state form. I found the federal turbo did not "talk" to the state form very well, and the means of entering my state information for Virginia and SC were very different. I was very surprised that there was not an easier explanation via turbo tax to reassure me that I was on the right track... I would say that given the amount of money I paid for the state version, and again for the e-file, you could designate more of your budget to making the language and transition between state taxes more understandable.
The only other hiccup I had with the process was with regard to the sale of one house and purchase of the next. I only had a mortgage on the house that I sold, so I only paid interest on one home, but paid taxes on both. I would have expected that it would ask me separately for each home, but it only focused on the firs home. Also, even though I clearly did not have capital gains on this home and said so, it insisted on "upgrading" me free of charge. I sold my home for far less than $500,000, so it took me through an unnecessary transition.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

I have used Turbo Tax at least 11-12 years. I use to do all my tax returns by hand. This is so much easier and fun.
What's great about it: Everything
What's not so great: Would not load onto my Windows 8.1 computer, I had to do my return on my old Vista program.

2014 Tax Filing
on February 18, 2015

Would have a difficult time filing my taxes. I buy and sell on the market and have a rental property. Love the way it retrieves previous years entries and gives you a great starting point for present year entries.
Makes filing easy and efficient due to turbo tax software.
What's great about it: Very efficient and less stressful than stubby pencil entries.
What's not so great: Price of Turbo tax
Pros: I bought or sold investments

When I had to record my long term stock sales, I was required to upgrade my program to the Premium Edition. This shouldn't be necessary as the Advantage Edition should carry the same forms.
What's great about it: Easy to walk through my tax return.
What's not so great: Simple stock sales should not require an upgraded program.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

TurboTax handled my tax situation very effectively. It allows me to input my data only once as I work through the forms I receive.
What's great about it: Easy Flexible Input, Handled All Situations
