Still great after all these years

The only tax program I've ever used. Don't feel the need to try anything else. Makes taxes (almost) foolproof!
What's great about it: easy to use, easy to find additional information, good explanation of complex topics

Taxes Returns Made Much Easier

This year I was able to download Schedule K-1s. That saved a lot of time and aggravation.
What's great about it: Downloads tax documents including 1099's and Schedule K-1s

Easy and fun

This is third time I use TurboTax, and it is always a pleasure to use it. I do not have too complicated items, but they are well explained, and the software makes sure everything is filled out ok. Filing the US tax return could not be easier.
What's great about it: Everything well explained
What's not so great: I really do not find cons that would be worth mentioning
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

TurboTax...better than a CPA

A few years ago I paid a CPA to do my taxes and a typing error by this professional led to IRS audit and money owed to the government. When I discovered this professional was not liable for creating the error, I vowed to never again trust a CPA with my taxes. Turbo Tax was recommend to me and I am more than impressed with the product. With Turbo Tax I feel confident and reassured that all the information is correct, that I have maximized my return, and that I have no reason to fear auditing. Turbo Tax has the potential to put Certified Tax Preparers out of business.....It costs less, offers better audit protection, maximizes your deduction, and teaches you as you prepare your own return. Guaranteed you will be better prepared to maximize your deductions the second year you use Turbo Tax by saving receipts and having a new awareness of what what deductions you may be eligible for.
What's great about it: It guides your every step! IThe option of importing your W2 directly into TurboTax further reduces potential for error
What's not so great: None related to the product.

Recommended Income tax software from beginners to pros!
What's great about it: Easy data import and walk-through filing steps. All necessary forms available.
What's not so great: Some views of forms and step completions are hard to find.

stress free return

been using this software since it came on the market, tried others when it was not available and hated them. I found that other software is not user friendly and may not cover all the available deductions that apply to your specific return. I made sure I get my copies early to avoid that confusion again
What's great about it: quick, precise and explains changes from year to year
