I WOULD recommend TurboTax to anyone
on February 17, 2015

Overall, it was another great experience. I like the "vault" to save documents on the TurboTax website. I would recommend always saving a copy of the "tax" file - (.tax file) on your computer, or the cloud, or E-mail it to yourself for future years. It might save you a lot of hassle & headaches. It seems as if the phone reps there really DO try and help you - then seemed pretty empathetic!
What's great about it: Very easy to use. Data transfers from year to year. Intuitive :-) Customer service professionals are there to help you!
What's not so great: Was a little bit difficult (tricky) to "unlock" the previous year's tax return, but I was able to get it done.

Love TurboTax

Love the step-by-step walk through with questions. I am confident that I have included everything and completed my taxes correctly when I use TurboTax.
What's great about it: Walks me through filing step by step with easy questions and handy lookups for more information
What's not so great: I'm still fuzzy on what qualifies me for AMT and how to file it.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

State Return- 1099-Q
on February 17, 2015

There are a number of states that give you dollar for dollar deduction when contributing to a 529 acct. if the individual (not the beneficiary) takes money out that is not related to educational exp's , a 1099-q is created, turbotax on the federal return picks up the earnings on the contributions but on the state return there is no mention of the tax that the individual has to pay on the previous contributions (basis) that were deductible in previous years. As a result income is understated in the state tax return.
What's not so great: 1099-Q Omission on state returns

Could not get State of Oregon to work. Called Intuit and they helped by reloading the state software. They thought I had a CD that did not load correctly.
What's great about it: Easy to follow
What's not so great: Problems with state

Making filing painless
on February 17, 2015

I like using TurboTax because I know the program is searching my return looking for any errors/omissions. I want to correct any issues before filing, instead of getting a "friendly" notice from the IRS.
What's great about it: Easy to use
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Good program, works fast glad the update to Premium and State was free. Download from my broker was slick cause that always takes a long time when I do it myself.
What's great about it: fast
What's not so great: the continue button is at the bottom of the page, have to keep scrolling down to it
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Great Experience

I have used TurboTax exclusively for several year and it has slicker and more usable every year. This year, not only was it an extenssion of the previous years, but seemed exceptionally easy-finished in less than 2 hours with no significant repeats
What's great about it: Leading through from start to final check of Federal was a snooze
What's not so great: Got a bit gnarly on State-seemed to get into a loop
