Reliable and Easy

I appreciate the consistency of the product year to year and the transfer of the prior years information. The guidance through the forms is clear and easy to follow, using questions that can be answered quickly. Links to more extensive informations are at the right place and time to keep the process on track. Being able to stop and pick up the process later is very convenient, as is the saving of the files so that no information needs to be re-entered.
While the trend seems to be to do things online, I do not like this approach to doing my taxes. I found it difficult to locate the way to purchase and download the program to my computer, as I have in years past. I also am not interested in being sold additional products, like audit insurance.
What's great about it: Transfer of previous year's information and Guidance through the forms
What's not so great: Not interested in using the online version, but that was presented as the primary option

Turbo Tax is excellent

I have used Turbo Tax for over 16 years and have always been pleased with how easy it is to file your taxes when using the program.

Turbo tax kept freezing and "Not Responding". I spent a long time on this. Instructions on Stock Sales very unclear and confusing Expensive to buy and we had to upgrade. We could have hired our friend to to it for less and faster. It took us longer to do our taxes this year than it ever has. Even the review had errors! In the past Turbo Tax has been great.

The software this year was garbage, nothing but trouble, will never buy again

Need to make the application full screen size like other applications, which could be just a Mac issue.
What's great about it: easy to use and any directions are simple and to the point
What's not so great: small application screen size; scrolling function and seeing screen at least with a Mac does not work well
