Indispensible software

I have used Intuit's TurboTax software for 14 years. It is a well-designed program that makes a time-consuming and sometimes painful process as easy as it could be. Using the information from the previous year's tax return to pre-populate and guide the current year's tax return is a great time-saver and helps to avoid overlooking tax areas that need to be addressed. Once you have completed your return, the software will review it to be sure nothing is missing.
What's great about it: Easy data entry, automatic data carryover from prior year; well designed

It's Deductible has gone downhill in a big way.

Search rarely found the items, usually had to hunt for them. Navigation is horrible. Why take me back to the beginning every time and then put the add button at the bottom of the screen so I have to drag the screen up to get to it. Items were not alphabetized. And then there are whole sections of what have to be common donations missing. Turboxtax its self is well behaved and worked as expected. Just really disappointed in It's Deductible.
What's not so great: It's Deductible is missing whole sections of donations. And the navigation and search are horrible

excellent program, used it for 6-7 years. The lady on the phone was extremely patient and helpful. I would recommend Turbotax to anyone and every one!!

Very dissapointed that i have to pay extra to upgrade to premier just to add very little stock transactions!!! Going a different route next year.

Was difficult to figure out where the home inherited or second home was to be added....instructions vague to say the least. had to rely on sister on correct form to use.
What's not so great: no instructions or easy guide instructions/guidance

Not as straight forward as previous years

Struggled in the rental section this time. I called in and got help from the support group. I just hope that I got it right first time I have had any doubts after using your product. :(
What's great about it: Makes it a do it yourself project
What's not so great: Navagation bullet points not as easy to understand for me this year for some reason

It's so easy

Easy to use, makes sure you don't miss anything. Like the fact it remembers from the previous year.
What's great about it: The step by step questions make sure you don't miss anything. Would have missed a deduction without TurboTax
