Used TurboTax for 15+ years, and been pretty happy. However, this year (and apparently in future years) needing an upgrade to get Schedule D made me unhappy and may lose me permanently as a customer. There are cheaper alternatives to TurboTax and I'll be looking at them next year, unless this policy is reversed.

Taxes Too Complicated

I will probably continue to use Turbo Tax, but my perfect world is one wherein this process is cut down to taking minutes, for the vast majority of filers, rather than hours.
What's great about it: Turbo Taz is probably the only reason I can still file on my own.
What's not so great: Still requires significant time & effort

Very disappointed

I had to pay extra (buy Premier cd) to report investment income & I had to pay to e-file one (1) state return. I can understand paying for more than one state return, but not for just one.
What's great about it: Satisfied my taxes were calculated properly.
What's not so great: Disappoined that I had to pay to e-file my state return. Always could e-file 1 state return for free. Not this year.

Last year, I used Deluxe with one free state and did fine...this year, I purchased Deluxe and then found out that it no longer handled Capital Gains so I needed to upgrade to Premier...hopefully next year Deluxe will again be able to handle Capital Gains
What's great about it: As always easy to use and like e-file
What's not so great: Pay more for Premier

I am very pleased with TurboTax. I still have nightmares about putting information from form 4356 line 45 and dividing by 5 and then subtracting line 12 from form 1040b. Turbo tax makes a bad time of the year much better

I CAN'T FINISH MY TAXES BECAUSE TURBO TAX DOESN'T SUPPORT STATE TAXES IF THE PERSON IS DECEASED. I HAVE TO GO TO A WI WEB SITE TO FINISH. FOR ALL THE MONEY I'VE PAID I WOULD THINK I SHOULD BE ABLE TO FILE A COMPLETE TAX FORM WITHOUT HAVING TO DO MY OWN LEG WORK
