Really easy to use and actually makes tax prep fun (well, as much fun as it could be).
What's great about it: Very intuitive and easy to use

Easy to use

My taxes are not complicated, but cumbersome. Turbotax is the right fit. Keep the Deluxe the same as it has always been. I only have one form that needed the upgrade from 2014 Deluxe.
What's great about it: glad you provided a free upgrade to keep Premier. Easy to make changes.
What's not so great: Deluxe should include basic stock / mutual fund forms.

Not intuitive, holes in it’s' guidance.

Not intuitive, holes in it’s' guidance. It can lead you astray for example: beware of the transition from rental property entries and the lack of guidance with regard to also having to file form 4797 Capital Gains. If you have already filed the return it is not very intuitive on amending the form; you have to do some searching in order to get clarity on the process of filing the amended return. I even had to seek advice from the IRS directly. Bottom line is it used to be better. I will re-examine my tax filing software choice for next year.
What's great about it: Not-so-much...
What's not so great: Used to be better, more comprehensive with audio/video presentations

Minor problems

Had a hard time figuring out how to get my Federal refund applied to next year's Federal tax liability. Think it was easier in prior years. State return is easy and logical.
I only gave $6 of goods to a Boy Scout food collection drive, yet the return demanded I put in an address - some goof-up here.
Should have an easy way to make a next year tax estimate, using this year's rules and new values for income and deductions..

not good year

The way the upgrade of the deluxe edition was handled was not acceptable. Also question the connection with Amazon. Seemed more difficult to file than past years. Question how secure the e-filing is.
What's great about it: have used turbo-tax for years-familiar
What's not so great: miserable fumble on deluxe-premier. Shouldn't have happened

I had to initiate Schedule E or Turbo would not have included it.
What's not so great: Had to use more expensive Turbo so that I could use Schedule E.

TurboTax Delux

From my experience, there seems to be a logic algorithm problem managing the HSA data. When I entered my HSA data following the step-by-step procedure, then in the review stage, my HSA deduction did not appear. I intentionally put an excess contribution amount, then an excess contribution warning appeared and asking me to edit the amount. After I corrected the amount, then the deduction appeared correctly. So, there seems to be a glitch in the algorithm.
What's great about it: systematic way gathers input for preparing the tax forms, easy to follow and check what goes to the filing forms
What's not so great: HSA data entry - I had problem with, the software seems to problem with the logic in managing the data.
