Turbo Tax is going down hill.

I have used Turbo Tax for maybe 11 years. The omission of Schedule D from Deluxe was very disappointing. The Turbo Tax questions and how they functioned seemed"shaky" this year, I can't put my finger on it but something just seemed wrong. I may shwith next year to the H&R Block tax software.
What's great about it: Makes a readable and likely complete return.
What's not so great: Having to upgrade for Schedule D is just a way to take away something included in Deluxe previously and get us to pay.

more difficult than usual

had problems with state download. when forms were available still had difficulties with operation, had to call customer support.
What's great about it: able to download from internet

Wrong order in process

TurboTax nicely did an error check of state- everything passed. However after choosing to efile and paying for it. System goes through final test- to tell me I can't use efile- and that I must use manual submission for my state because of a 1 dollar penalty fee. This testing step needs to be ahead of paying for efile step- a better process would be to eliminate the efile choice for state filing altogether- with an explanation before trying to pay; this would have been very nice- and I would have given a 5 star rating, but now I have the troublesome process of trying to get my money back, for a very simple error check- that should have been run prior to trying to efile.
What's great about it: Filled forms nicely
What's not so great: Requires paying for state efile, before final error check of state

Once I had all of documents together, the directions were easy to follow. TurboTax revealed more deductions than what I would have thought of. It was a fun experience!

Great Tax Software

Overall great tax software. I have been using for 10 years, and the last two years has been the fastest I have ever done my taxes. Thank you for all of the improvements that has given me more time to enjoy life.
What's great about it: Very easy to use
What's not so great: Hard time trying to find a way to edit my new address

Have used Turbo Tax since 1996 and don't regret it. Has made doing taxes just a normal process.
What's great about it: The complete program.User friendly
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

The Best Tax Preparation Software

This is the best tax preparation software. I have used it for 15 years. Normally I give it 5 stars, but this year I had to buy the premier version to handle investment income. In previous years, this was included in the Deluxe version. I hope Intuit puts that module back in the Deluxe version next year.
What's great about it: The Best Tax Prep Software, Period!
What's not so great: Had to buy Premier instead of Deluxe
