Disappointed

I've used TurboTax ever since it came out. Although it was as thorough as the previous years, i had to upgrade to premier in order to complete taxes this year. Was very disappointed. it cost me an extra $30 to upgrade. They only offered $25 as compensation. Will probably look into another tax program next year if they package it again as this year.
What's great about it: Able to complete my taxes quickly
What's not so great: Had to upgrade to complete the same level of filing as previous years.

the print review section is somewhat confusing ---- the program always shortens the file names i assign--- my first initial and my 2 sons all start with the same letter which makes your method somewhat confusing

Always a great product and a great value. The taxes generally do themselves. Some areas lacked the rigor of questioning why this year was different from last year, but by looking to the "Forms" section, I could make sure that things were done accurately.
What's great about it: Always the latest updates and all of the information needed to fully and accurately complete the tax process.
What's not so great: Fewer leading questions this year.

Better than others by far!

Used a competitor's software and was disappointed to find out I was receiving only $3,200 back from federal taxes. With TurboTax, I'm getting over $12,000 back!
What's great about it: Simple to use, FAQ search takes you right to the spot on the form where information needs to be entered
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Not as friendly as 2013

Extremely difficult to utilize the topic list to go back to a specific location to verify or review information. I found previous years to be much more user friendly. State return (Oklahoma) was not as easy to utilize as well. However, I will continue to file tax returns with Turbo Tax,
What's great about it: Accurate and thorough
What's not so great: Not as user friendly as previous years

Overall, we really like using Turbo Tax. It really helps to explain things and makes things pretty easy. I really like how it says things like box 12. Sometimes verbiage can be confusing but there is usually an explain this option that helps. We've been using Turbo Tax for years and will continue to use it in the future!

I despise tax time, I get very stressed about whether or not I'm providing the correct info I need to provide. Turbo tax helps walk me through it so that I am more confident about my responses.
What's great about it: guidance
What's not so great: some explanations to the "help" topics weren't all that helpful.
