Very good software!

I really like the desktop version of the software. There were times what the online software was asking didn't give me that confidence that I entered what I should have. But the downloaded version was very helpful in allowing me to open the actual form and check my 2014 form by the 2013 form. The general community support was good. When i asked a question that was more involved the CPA on the phone was clear and very helpful.
What's great about it: Desktop software is easy and allows access to all forms, 4.5 stars !!
What's not so great: Online software is limited, no online access to forms. Never found the chat function in either online of desktop apps.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

Once again, easy to use.

Sophisticated software that is easy to use. Love the ability to electronically pull tax information from financial institutions, don't have to worry about getting all the tax forms through the mail.
What's great about it: Auto retrieve last year's info, retrieve data from financial institutions.
What's not so great: Can't think of any.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

very easy to use, step by step process. easy to go back to work off other items when you receive statements at a later time.
What's great about it: letting you pick items to work off, or coming back when you have other statements at a later time
What's not so great: none

Turbo Tax makes doing a very objectionable task reasonably painless, and potentially pleasant... I have come to depend on the accuracy and completeness in preparing my return... much of that dependence is the expectation that my experience in consistent from year to year... the issue with the forms could/should have been prevented, but I give high marks to Intuit for how the issue was/is subsequently being handled... I will be back next year.
What's great about it: upgrade to premier was free (very much appreciated)
What's not so great: having to upgrade to premier for lack of one schedule

Turbo thrusters engaged on tax refund

So easy, I could almost do it blindfolded. Turbo Tax imported all the needed tax information from my brokerage account and my W-2. The e-filing was a cinch. My refund will be zapped into my bank account shortly.
What's great about it: Step by step simplicity
