did not carry over all financial information

Program did not work as smoothly as all previous issues, It did not import accurate financial information from my 2013 Turbo Tax so the comparisons could not be accurately displayed
What's great about it: for the most part good

Was Frustrated!

I refused to upgrade to Premier. I planed to load my data into Deluxe, print the return, and use that a base for my final filing.
Next year I planned to find another program to do my return.

I am glad you finally provided a free update to the equivalent of last year's Deluxe.
What's great about it: Your program is easy to work with.
What's not so great: Dropping Schedule D from the Deluxe version was terrible.

turbo tax = Old Faithful

Best value for the money. Never audited since using Turbo tax. Previously I got charged by accountant for IRS audit support + charged and penalized by IRS to boot. Cheaper than franchise tax services. You just need to be organized and have documentation, some tax knowledge, after all, Garbage in Garbage out. It's only as good as the information you provide. that's why I like the import features with the institutions, + Turbotax does give you the option for support, but as an added cost. Started using it when it was tax Cut in dos format. never dissapointed.
What's great about it: easy downloads
What's not so great: constant updates
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

Easy to use

Turbo Tax is easy to use and the step by step process is great. When first bought was upset that not the same set up as previous years in regards to what could be submitted, but Turbo Tax rectified that prior to filing a dissatisfaction by readjusting the products to match previous years.. Brave for Turbo tax for stepping up and realizing they made a mistake. I would totally recommend to a friend or family member
What's great about it: Walks you through the process
What's not so great: only able to do one state return

I do returns for people who cannot afford to go to others to do them. I do not ever charge anyone and I pay for the TurboTax software out of my own money. What is the harm if I do more returns if it's helping those that need help.
What's great about it: great software
What's not so great: can only do 5 federal returns before have to pay more

We sold a rental home last year, I needed all the help I could get with deductions. I still received a refund due to Turbo Tax telling me that we could deduct expenses I never thought of.
What's great about it: Walked me through the hard spots
What's not so great: Still owe money to the state
Pros: I bought or sold investments
