Weak on State of Idaho

Everything looked fine until I reached the review of the Idaho State and it refused to file electronically because of Line 13 of Tax Payment Worksheet.
What's great about it: Covers all generally
What's not so great: Probably a bug in the program for Idaho State filiing

Refunds Made Easy

I have used both the cd and online versions. Both are easy to use and provide the same accurate results. Downloads of previous year and W-2 information are very useful.
What's great about it: Information downloads make filling out the forms very easy.
What's not so great: Choosing the right version.

Deluxe Turbo Tax

In the past I have been able to use the Deluxe Turbo Tax program but this years version did not offer Schedule D which required me to upgrade to the Premier version of the software. I do appreciate that Intuit will be refunding me some of my costs.
In addition I had issues when trying to download my transactions from the Wells Fargo Advantage Account. The transfer of information did not include a description of the shares I sold requiring me to manually enter the information.
These 2 situations have made me consider using an alternate tax preparation program when filing my taxes next year.

First Time is a charm

I'm not an native english speaking person and my tax situation is complexed, balance between 2 countries
I was very happy to use Turbotax as it very easily guided me through all the steps. I'll jump on it next year

Prepared returns for Federal, AZ and CA with no difficulty.
What's great about it: Very detailed & easy to use.

I haven't used competitive software to prepare taxes, so I don't know how turbotax compares to its peers.
What's great about it: Information transfer from previous year return is good feature, drop down help was convenient.
What's not so great: Program loaded slowly on my computer as it does every year.

2014 Done

I have used TurboTax both Business and Basic or Delux for 10+ years.
I love the import from Quickbooks. I had one problem, my wife's RMD was not brought forward from 2013. I had to go to Forms to make the entry.
The included schedules should be consistent in each edition year to year.

What's great about it: Pretty straight forward. The step by step is very helpful.
What's not so great: The schedules should be standard per Edition year to year. I did have problem updating my wife's RMD.

2015 TAX RETURN

I9'VE USED TT FOR AS LONG AS I'VE FILED TAX RETURNS ON A COMPUTER. IF I WAS A LITTLE MORE ANILE I WOULD TRY TO DOWNLOAD FROM MY QUICKEN FILES,BUT U CAN'T HAVE EVERYTHING.
What's great about it: GOOD AS ALWAYS
What's not so great: I GOT CAUGHT UP IN THE DELUXE VS PREM SWITCH UP WHICH I DIDN'T LIKE AT ALL
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
