2014 TAXES

AT THE POINT TO PAY FOR STATE FILING WE WE GIVEN A UNKNON SCREEN AND WENT TO SEVERAL WRONG AREAS. HOPE WE WILL NOT BE DOUBLE BILLED,TURBO TAX SAYS IT WILL RESTART AFTER DOWNLOADING CURRENT TAX FORMS BUT EITHER IT TAKES FOREVER OR IT DOESN'T RESTART.
WE ENTERED AS MUCH INFO AS WE HAD AS FAR AS INCOME. BUT WHEN WE TRIED TO DOWN LOAD FROM MSSB WE WERE NO GIVEN THE OPTION TO DOWN LOAD AND HAD TO ENTER MANUALLY.

What's great about it: GUIDED PROGRAM WORKED VERY WELL
What's not so great: SEVERAL TIMES THE PROGRAM TOOK US TO A PLACE WE WEREN'T SURE WHY

Premier necessarry?

I had to upgrade to Premier just to handle a single stock sale. Can't that function be included in Deluxe?

Fast & Easy

Overall, very good this year. Few hiccups: got an error (more than once) that I was not connected to internet when I was, install of upgraded product could be more smooth. I would like to see the income section, when done filling out each area, return to that spot on the income summary instead of always going back to the top, forcing the user to scroll down each time to the area they just entered...to see the next area. As you are aware, the software takes a really long time to initialize each time its loaded - should be fixed. Will likely buy again next year: I like the automatic loading of last year's data into the current return.
What's great about it: thorough

Many years of using Turbotax

Easy to use, as for every year since I have been using Turbotax. Disappointed with the decision to require the Premier version for Schedules D and E. Need to provide more information regarding what is supported in the 2015 versions prior to automatically sending me the 2015 version!
What's great about it: Decision to add Schedules D and E for free
What's not so great: You should have made it clear that the Deluxe Addition did not support Schedules D and E before you sent it to me!

I didn't know if I paid for audit alert twice or not. The state payment section was rather confusing,should I mail this paper if I did it by E-file or not. This exisited throughout. For someone that only goes through this routine once a year, its not too clear.
What's great about it: the clarity of moving through all the questions,except for the RMD etc. Which would disappear each time you went back .
What's not so great: fees for this and that,no continuity between them.

The program is great and I will continue to use it as long as the features and costs remain competitive. I compared other programs after hearing of the changes but trusted Turbo Tax and the free update cemented my trust.
What's great about it: The free update to conform to previous year program saved you a customer
What's not so great: Did not appreciate program change from previous years
