Tis Done

Listen you guys have a fantastic product and I'm happy to pay for it, just put it all in one payment. Payments for additional states, payments for efiles... etc. I agree having the different versions is great so keep that, but put two or three states into a version, include the e-files and I'll buy THAT version in a heart beat, even if it's the same price just everything in one.
On the coding front thank you so much for your validation on all of my fields. Having it coded to automatically reformat to the proper format was perfect and just what I needed!!! That alone made the product worth it before everything else.
What's great about it: Great Coding, Great Flow
What's not so great: So many different things to pay for
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Some annoyances

The loss carryover is finally fixed. I wonder how much that cost me over the years it did not work? I am still not clear what Intuit was doing by shaking up the product line. I assume it was to make more profit by pushing people to the next higher category. This time that was free, and I thank them for that, however, that will probably not be so, in future. Once that upgrade was accomplished, I think the whole process was even smoother and faster than last year. Excellent program overall.
What's great about it: Overall smooth and the loss carryover to CA is finally fixed
What's not so great: The requirement to upgrade from Premium for some things

Pros: I bought or sold investments

Easy enough

Very good software, I used Premier and did everything I needed it to. Filing county tax deductions on personal property could be clearer. Such as automobile taxes, trailers, motorcycles etc... I know you cannot write off state registrations but personal property taxes could be clearer.
What's great about it: Very user friendly, Help boxes easy to follow, Investment forms were easy to follow with your guidance
What's not so great: Cannot say I enjoyed anything about filing tax returns
Pros: I bought or sold investments

What's great about it: Detailed, easy to follow, easy to edit.
What's not so great: Need detailed instructions for figuring taxable amount for State Tax.

Cost Definitely Increased For 2014 Return
on February 16, 2015

Overall well satisfied, however not pleased at all that I was required to upgrade to Premier version where I have been using the Basic for many prior years, at significant increased cost for minimal extra benefit.
What's great about it: As in prior years easy to use and understand
What's not so great: Unexpected siginificant cost increase because of changes

Do not trust Turbo Tax!

In previous editions of TurboTax I have encountered math errors and a few years ago, when my father retired, it had me file his return wrong and two years later got a notice from the IRS stating so and that he owed nearly $3,000 in back taxes and penalties. In the current edition of TurboTax, the zip code for the state return was incorrect, so it went to the wrong place. I am just glade I did not wait till the last day to file or my taxes would have been late! This is the last straw! I will never waste my money on TurboTax again! The program cannot be trusted.
What's great about it: Easy to install
What's not so great: need to double check calculations and addresses
