TurboTax allows me to complete my tax returns faster every year. This year I had pages of information to enter based on selling some company stock. I dread the process of identifying each LOT. I bought it through payroll deductions, so there were many LOTS. I couldn't believe how easy it was to import all of the detail along with the 1099 B information. What a great experience.
What's great about it: import capabilities for complicated forms. Saved time and ensured that the information was transferred accurately.

Turbo Tax covers everything and I feel secure using it.
What's great about it: Little helpful boxes that explain a subject matter

I really like the product and have used it the 5 or 6 years. I did have a problem entering a 1099S for a inherited house I recieved after my mother died. I saw a number of help items, but some of the help items mentioned different ways to enter the detail. I finally was able to check my sisters return from a tax person and made my form match.
What's great about it: Product is very easy to use for standard items
What's not so great: Some items not easy or very difficult to enter Schedule D & 8949
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Every year, Turbotax seems to get better. The guidance and review are wonderful. The first year I used it (1982), I TOOK IT ALONG TO THE CPA WHO WAS DOING MY TAXES. I QUERIED THREE DIFFERENT ITEMS HE HAD WRITTEN, WHEREUPON HE ASKED WHERE I HAD GOTTEN THE DATA. I SHOWED HIM MY TURBOTAX RETURN, AND HE WAS AMAZED, ADMITTING THAT HE HAD MADE THREE ERRORS.
From then on I have only used Turbotax, and my children use it as well, also doing the state returns where they live.
What's great about it: Quick entry of items and reviewing, with FAST e-filing
What's not so great: I have no cons

Outstanding Tax Product

We had a very complicated return this year and TurboTax saved our life. By following the step by step directions and help screens, I was able to file a completely accurate tax return and save hundreds of dollars in professional fees. I highly recommend this product to all ages and all abilities. You'll get a very accurate return and save a lot of money. Since professionals rely on the data you give them, you are saving a not of money by entering the data yourself particularly since the program reminds/ask you about deductions that a professional will not.
What's great about it: Easy to follow, explanations are clear, processing is thorough and accurate
What's not so great: None
Pros: I bought or sold investments
