Great Refund Again

This my 15th year using Turbo Tax for my taxes and I have never been disappointed.
What's great about it: Easy to follow stepp-by-step instructions; Thorough for maximizing deductions;

We got extra $200 credit for contribution to an employer sponsored retirement plan. However, it would be easy to overlook if you don't pay attention. Why don't you make it a mandatory question to be answered by every user even though the user decided to go through the topics on his/her own.

Good software that addresses most issues. RITA Local tax forms in OH are complex
What's great about it: easy to use, Like the transfer from last year for info
What's not so great: long loading time. need better help for questions RITA Local forms are complex

Got the job done but not smooth like years past

If you think this years Turbo Tax will take you smoothly and flawlessly through your return as it did in the past, think again. Turbo Tax 2014 wouldn't allow me to see/edit my previous year's W2s until after I entered the new ones (pointless). It also didn't show me my previous years Other Income or Deductions until the review at the end. This is a feature I counted on to ensure that I had everything I needed. Then, when I finished the State portion of the program, it went around in circles until I pretended that I wasn't going to file a State return. It even suggested that I delete State! What?!
I've used Turbo tax for 16 years. This is by far the worst version.
What's great about it: familiar with program and was able to roll info over from last year

Not very friendly this year. The Illinois state form printed out with "DO NOT FILE" printed on every page. What's that all about?

TurboTAX 2014 Review

I have been using TurboTax since its inception, when it bought out the program I was using previously. I have never had a problem with Turbo Tax, only with my own interpretation of the program as it leads me through the process.
Have been able to amend returns and correct mistakes with the IRS - outstanding in that.
Doing this return for my son.
What's great about it: Takes you through every part of the tax process
What's not so great: Leaves some room for questionsing some of the entries.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
