I hope that there will come a time when it will only take one hour or less to file a return,not the nearly six hours I spent.
What's great about it: It's complete
What's not so great: in the past turbo delux covered investment reporting, . In many spots the process is very confusing.

Organized But Lack Confidence?

Turbo tax helped me split my income between three states, figuring which figures to put where. I also sold a house and carried 40% of the mortgage to be paid over 4 years. Turbo tax helped me do that. It was wonderful to have my investment and banking information be transferred directly from the agencies that manage them. I also benefited from comparing my number from last year to this year while managing my rental property. I figure that any American should be able to do their own taxes with a basic education. I am a teacher and a nurse with a Master's Degree. I CAN DO IT...with Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: Explains, fixes my errors
What's not so great: Cannot get direct answers to questions
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

THIS PROGRAM IS WORTHLESS

I can't get the program to work. I need to send in an amended form for my federal and a printed form for my state. I follow the instructions and hit a dead end for filing the amended form. I never could print any copies other than electronic ones. This messed me up with my state form and they are now on my case to file. I have used Turbo Tax for years....NEVER AGAIN
What's great about it: It was good at one time
What's not so great: The 2015 version is a nigtmare

Too Many Bugs

I itemize. In the Other Deductions & Credits category, $15k of "Other Deductions" was automatically being entered from nowhere. After paying and downloading for 2014 Premier I still had the problem. My son's Federal return has now been rejected twice for the wrong ePIN, and now the tax filing is late! Really .... really perturbed (pst) off now! Starting to lose faith in TurboTax. Quality of product seems to be waning.
What's great about it: Very detailed and thorough
What's not so great: Incorrect data appears

Great Federal. Disliked State

Overall the Federal filing was very straight forward for filing jointly. My problem came from my wife and I working in separate states and the requirement to file separately. The process is complex to perform and the secondary tax payer cannot efile and has to mail their forms in stating security as the reason. I ultimately had to create 3 turbotax files to complete. It would seem that you should be able to be able to do it all within one file. using separate files made it very challenging when looking at which items are separated so you are not double taxed. I will probably have to have my state returns reviewed/amended by a professional.
What's great about it: Good at identifying all items
What's not so great: poorly done for people filing in multiple states

I have used TT for at least 10 years and will continue using it in 2015. Straight forward and as user friendly as it can be in my view. Excellent TT support when needed.
