Still the BEST!

Love the flexibility to use "interview style" questions and work through returns step by step or go directly to areas of interest. Documentation and supporting information is excellent.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

never again

It's like the proverbial frog in boiling water (although the proverb isn't actually true)
I started using Quicken and TurboTax a very long time ago, and have continued despite rising disappointment.
It's gotten worse every year-- klunkier, more expensive, more features reserved for extra-cost versions, less help, sigh, and more.
No more, never again, hasta la nunca baby.
What's great about it: long habit
What's not so great: it's worse every year

So Easy for So Many Years
on April 16, 2015

I have used this software for many years and really appreciate how easy it it to use, especially since it will import previous years data so that you don't have to start form scratch each year (saves alot of time#. I also like the step-by-step approach it uses to ensure that each question is asked/answered to complete each form without the user needing to find a specific form or try to read the instructions on the various forms, converting IRS language to easy to understand user instructions. Althogh used more this year than in the past, the search bar was a great source for me to look up additional information on a particular area and see questions and answers previously captured to help clarify the answer. The e-file feature really helps when you are finishing taxes at the last minute and don't have time to locate a post office that is open at midnight #if they exist anymore). Whether you owe or are getting a refund, this tool gives me the confidence that my taxes are being done right without paying huge fees to a tax service or CPA.
What's great about it: Ease of use in a step by step approach makes filing less of a hassle
What's not so great: Determining which reliable supplier provides the best software price each year
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Like everyone else, I always dread doing my taxes, but Turbo Tax relieves a lot of the stress and anxiety from the process. Logical, common sense approach to not letting Uncle Sam take too much advantage of us working stiffs. Thanks Turbo!
What's great about it: Like having a virtual accountant at your side.
What's not so great: Can't think of any offhand.
Pros: I moved

I love your program. I have used it for several years now and I am still very happy.
What's great about it: I like the format
What's not so great: Disclose the fee for state filling before at the point to file

Lots of hidden fees

They charge you to purchase TurboTax, a fee for upgrading to TurboTax Premier if you have *any* reason to file a 1040 (interest, dividends, capital gains, etc), a fee for your state return, a fee to *file* you state return online.
All these fees are not advertised and are presented *after* you painstakingly work through their mediocre software, thus committing yourself to using their service and paying their fees.
I WILL NOT USE THIS SERVICE AGAIN!!!
What's not so great: Fees
