Turbo Tax Rating

1. The go-backs ( when you want to change something ) are not always easy. It does not tell you how far you have gone.
2. The help text is in too small a font.
3. The theft and casualty instructions are vague. Ordinary folks like me do not know what to do and the terms/explanations need more work

4. Otherwise, the experience is REALLY GOOD. This software has changed my filing habits and given me extra income and confidence. Our gratitude to your staff for making this possible.
What's great about it: Easy, wholesome, smooth

Easy to use!

I have been going to a CPA for about 25 years. I started doing my kids and also a friend's taxes myself to help them. My taxes are more complicated so i kept going to my CPA. This year i decided to buy Turbo Tax after talking to my brother. I figured i would try to do mine and if it just looked like it was going to be to hard for me to do, i could just go back to my CPA and i would only be out just the cost of the software. Anyway, the software was great! It walked me through step by step. I am very happy and will continue to do my taxes myself from now on. You will like it! Highly recommended!!!
What's great about it: walked me right through everything!
What's not so great: Had to upgrade to premier because of a small royality check.

Great product - as usual

Would be much easier to use if, when you answered questions, the software would take you back to the previous page at the place you just left, rather than the top of the page each time.
What's great about it: easy and intuitive to use
What's not so great: have to keep re-finding your place after answering questions.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy Submission

I worry every year that I'm being ripped off since some of the organizations I'm a member of have a good deal for TurboTax. As sort of automatic, I should get the best deal!
What's great about it: Stuff from last few years moved in automatically
What's not so great: Useless pages, such as estimated taxes if i don't do that.

Turbo tax is a great program and makes takes simple.
What's great about it: Fast, easy, intuitive
What's not so great: City return has a few bugs

It was a simple return to begin with, TurboTax made it even easier. Hope it works as well with my more difficult return.

Great to have side by side comparison with last yrs return, enabled be to catch a problem
What's great about it: easy to use, pulls in previous nominal info
What's not so great: didn't need to be told which deduction to use (std. vs. itemized)
