Does the Job!

Been using TurboTax for years with no issues.
What's great about it: Easy to install and use.
What's not so great: None that I can think of.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

This is my 10th year of using the TurboTax product. As expected, it was easy to use. I appreciated the up-front handling of the errors that were made between the versions, and the upgrade to Premier from Deluxe satisfied me. Thanks!
What's great about it: Ease of use, detailed questions
What's not so great: None really

Paying to download and file state is preposterous! Grrrr!
And the state filing status is a real pain to change if you want to run various scenarios. I hope 7 years passes really quickly because I guessed on the residency time and state allotment...

What's great about it: Pretty easily stepped me through all teh necessary items.
What's not so great: Didn't clearly explain 1099-B screens, like D and E boxes. First time I've seen these.

it was good to be able to upgrade to premium for free. I might be tempted to start out with premier next year.
some of the comments are "cute" but please put effort into better explaining some of the more complicated worksheets such as 1099Div. line 10 and the interview questions around tax exemption. people who use turbo tax are probably serious about understanding and learning so please explain as much as you can , and as precisely as you can.....we want to understand where the numbers are coming from, and why.
we are really counting on turbo tax to provide great state information, so please stay up with he rules/ laws and explain them.

This seems to be the first year I've had a problem filing with RSU's
from employer. When employer adds RSU's to Box 1 wages, it's very difficult to process an RSU sale. Because I procrastinated, I gave up a small loss deduction. Please simplify RSU's received as wages, and sold at vesting. When there is a small loss, no shares are withheld for additional taxes due.

Easy and fast to use without leaving home!

This is the second year we have used TurboTax and it has been very easy to use and accurate. It does all of the calculations without having to go to an accountant and haul everything to their office. We used to use an accountant for our returns but since her retirement and discovering the ease and accuracy of TurboTax, it is highly unlikely we will use an accountant again.
What's great about it: Easy to use and very accurate.
What's not so great: Nothing
