Overall, still the best tax software in my opinion, and I will cintinue to recommend to others.
What's great about it: Still relatively easy to use and like being able to compare to prior year
What's not so great: Don't like that we now have to key in the cost basis of investment transactions due to a change with IRS.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I waited til the last minute because I thought I would owe. Surprise, surprise, I get refunds for both fed and state. It is easy to use and I love that it takes me through everything so I am sure about what I am submitting. The load time for the updates was a bit long, but I suppose that is because it is April 15 at 8 pm Pacific, so folks are actively using the update system. But in any case, once I got going it only took about an hour to do.
What's great about it: I like walking through everything to be sure
What's not so great: load time for the updates was a bit long

When you get to the filing portion of the program, you guys obviously make it more difficult to print your state return to file by mail. I remember this from last year.

I have used Turbo Tax since 1992 ( I think). Well, forever! And it is so easy to use. Even though I am a CPA, the resources available with TurboTax make it irreplaceable.
What's great about it: so easy to see where to enter things and allows for questions as you go.
What's not so great: Hard to file an extension once you are in the tax file.

Program makes sure you don't get audited for adding wrong or entering data in the wrong fields. Get you data together start from last years return and entry is a breeze
What's great about it: Don't have to pay a tax pro to do taxes. Easy guidence to finish taxes
What's not so great: Special case are not straight forward at all. Takes reading tax code to understand what to enter in program.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

What's not so great: My software had data on it for the Miller family.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Very pleased with the product. This is the first time in a decade that I have not had our taxes professionally prepared. When our accountant retired, I decided to resume tax preparation again myself. I was pleasantly surprised at how readily a somewhat complex return could be managed with guided questions. I'll definitely be using Turbo Tax again next year.
What's great about it: Step by step data entry + simultaneous posting to required forms
What's not so great: Cannot make a complex return simple
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I bough the version that for rentals but I found it didn't give me much additional guidance. That said, this is my 16th year using Turbo Tax. I've recommended it to friends that use it all the time, saving them hundreds of dollars per year.
One thing that I noticed this year, is that when I save the file each time I update more information, that it gave it created a new file. That's confusing.
What's great about it: The options of entering information at your own pace, dependent upon one's knowledge of the tax rules
What's not so great: Sometimes the screens are a bit redundant
