Needs a little more work

The military spouse relief act has caused me major problems two year in a row now using turbotax. The program doesn't seem to be fully developed to deal with the specifics of the act. Last year the form was never even included in my return, at least that's what the state of Maine told me was the issue. This year there was more confusion and issues. Also there are problems with the first time home buyers credit that was offered between 2006-2012 (I think) the program was forcing me to enter a current year date of not using residence as main home but we still owned the home and had only vacated in military orders and were renting. Anyways otherwise great program. Look forward to using next year. Thank you

2014 taxes

I have been using Turbo Tax for years. This was the first year I had trouble getting the forms completed. This is most likely due to my not properly completing something. I finally entered bogus information to get the form to close as it had no relevance to my tax filing.
What's great about it: relatively easy to use
What's not so great: some forms that were not applicable had to be completed
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Sweet and Simple

TurboTax is easy to use and makes the tax process more affordable than going to a tax service. I do wish I had a professional to ask questions about how to improve things or set myself up better for next year. I was a first time home buyer this past year and really expected that to benefit me but was disappointed to find out it didn't.
I did come out in the positive and the program made things organized and easy. Very user friendly with helpful links to internet explanations as well as get FAQ hints.
What's great about it: Very user friendly with helpful links and explanations!
What's not so great: Would like a way to ask a pro simple questions.

Turbo tax Premier vs Business

Premier wins due to the easy import from our brokerage accounts. Plus, the State filing was key!
Business version fails due to no import capability on trust accounts. We have hundreds of transactions that have to be reported and without the import turbotax wasn't worth what I paid. Also, right ....my state (TN) was not listed as one of the states available to use the automated filing. Very disappointing. I hope they correct this by next year.
What's great about it: Loved Premier

Last minute, simple return -only 2 days & finished

filing seemed easier and faster this year with new sequence of interview questions. Did you have questions - such as - dependents, a primary house, mortgage, interest, dividends, investments, childcare, medical insurance -- were asked together. Then Turbo Tax skipped over sections that were not required. In 2 days, I was DONE.
What's great about it: Faster entry with "Did you have xxx this year" interview questions near beginning; picking up PIN was simple to e-file
