I have used TurboTax for the last six years, each year it gets better ! Try it you won't regret it.
What's great about it: excellent software easy to use
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Good year for the DL Jones'

Really struggled with K-1 stuff again this year. Wish the instructions matched the Turbo Tax questions better!!
What's great about it: Not having to put so much detail in to charitable giving this year! Liked the ability to auto transfer info from investm
What's not so great: Need more work in the investment forms and guidelines.

confused on dependent exemptions, need clarification

The good and the bad . . .

I've been using Turbo Tax since around 1987. Since then there have been some impressive changes to TTax. These stand out in my mind: 1) Being able to print the return on plain paper & file it as printed. 2) Easy Step and 3) Questionably E-filing. E filing is certainly better than a trip to the post office, but I strongly suspect it is done for the benefit of IRS & not users like me.
So getting back to my premiss that TTax is good and IRS is Evil. Despite considerable improvements by TTax, filing has become more difficult & time consuming. . . . . because IRS is Evil. (that's Evil with a capital "E".)
How can TTAx be improved? Easy, eliminate IRS. . . .
What's great about it: TurboTax is good

Overall, I rate the program a 9.8 out of 10.
