Done With Ease!

This is the 3rd year that I have used Turbo Tax and I will never go back to the old way of doing my taxes. Every step of the process was explained anyone would be able to understand it.
What's great about it: Easy to use; Explained every step
What's not so great: None!

System errors

What's great about it: Overall standard performance as always expected
What's not so great: Crashed 2X - had to reinstall 2X - annoying at T-60 mins and counting.....

Eased my anxiety

The program is very user friendly. It walks you through the steps with simply worded questions that are easy to understand and do not confuse the user. The simple wording and step by step guidance of the program eased my anxiety over the matter. Thanks TT!!

Helped tremendously in an unfortunate year

Turbotax really shined for me in a year of difficulty, including job layoff and necessary retirement withdrawal. I have always used Turbotax, but wasn't sure it would be able to handle my year of taxes, due to the complexities created by a diffcult situation.
What's great about it: handled emergency distribution beautifully
What's not so great: Could not electronically transfer my credit union info. however it is not that mainstream
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Hard job made easy

As was my experience with Deluxe, easy to use and navigate.
What's great about it: Easily navigated and seemingly complete - but how would I know, since the tax code complexity is so mind-numbing.
What's not so great: Forced me into more expensive Premier because of a few investments.

Going down Hill

The 2014 return did NOT read the info from my 2013 return. Also, there seems to be no way to direct the program to the file which it did not find (I did not even know if it was looking for the file).
Also, DO NOT offer to help on line and then don't even answer the e-mail (except with an auto response form). If you're going to offer help, you need to staff up and do it.
I sent a note immediately, when I saw that I had to start entering all my personal data, that is usually automatically flowed in. I thought someone might have a quick fix, since I'm sure I was not the first to see this problem.
BTW - did it ever occur to you to just provide printable tax forms without all the fluff, but the arithmetic done - just manly an Excel form. Last years amounts should flow forward, like loss carry forward, and Estimated tax paid the previous year, etc.
It is sometime annoying, all the fluffy stuff you pile in.
