NOT GOOD!

This was very frustrating. Despite the fact that I did not need the Schedule K - it continued to ask me about it. I tried to delete. I answered NO - in what should have been the appropriate place to stop it from asking me about this. I needed it last year but not this year - however, system didn't seem to allow me to modify that. Ultimately I could not file electronically because of this error. Additionally, it continued to ask me to insert LOCAL INCOME TAX info on the carryover worksheet but we do not pay local income taxes so this again was another "ERROR" that needed fixing but I had no info to insert. This also prevented us from being able to file electronically. So here I am printing a BOOK and PAYING POSTAGE! - UGH!
YES, I did search for solutions and ways to remedy this via the turbotax help resources but unfortunately most of those were for the online TurboTax not TurboTax Premier. BUMMER!
What's great about it: has worked great year after year, love convenience and usual ease of use
What's not so great: Unable to remove forms!! VERY frustrating this year.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I really love Turbo Tax! It's efficient and fast! Only thing I think they can do better is using layman's terms.
What's great about it: I really liked the various links that were a source of help when I was confused
What's not so great: some of the parts could have been written to explain a bit more thoroughly and less technical
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Federal Was Great - State, Not So Much

I've been using TurboTax for nearly 30 years, going back to DOS floppies and dot matrix printers. I love TurboTax, but I've got to say thay I've become very disappointed with the California 540 program that came with my copy of TurboTax All the many differences from the federal return and the myriad of California credits and deductions were basically put on me to figure out.
Clearly TurboTax does not put theCalifornia state return at the top of its priority list, and it shows. I'm far less confident that my California 540 is 100% correct than I am that my 1040 is right..
What's great about it: Very thorough, very easy to do the Federal 1040
What's not so great: California 540 provides almost no guidance on differences from Federal.

Been using this product since MacInTax in the 80's. Wasn't happy with increased cost just to report a small investment account.
What's great about it: See title
What's not so great: Had to purchase upgrade just for Sched D

Turbo Tax generally is an excellent program. I did encounter a problem. I sold a Florida condo(a second home) at a long term capital loss. Proceeds were reported on a 1099-s form. IRS regulations said to report 1099-s proceeds on Form 4797 which is sale of business property, However, Turbo tax said a Florida tax return would be required also. This I didn't understand because there is no individual income tax or capital gains tax in Florida. There is for Corporations and Businesses. I deleted the 4797 form and reentered the information as a sale of investment property. It didn't clear up the Florida tax message, but my final review was able to complete without error.. IRS rules didn't allow me to claim the loss, but I was able to use my property improvement records to drop the gain to zero.
What's not so great: Proclem - see below
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I have been using this product for 10+ years. I own rental property and love the way it imports all of the previous years' data.
Also worth noting, I used the down load feature for the sale of stock. I was amazed that it captured all of the long term and short term capital gains accurately. This saved a lot of my time.
I would highly recommend the product.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
