Very user-friendly and saves a person money.

I use this program every year and so do many of my friends and family.
What's great about it: Not difficult to follow especially when choices of whether to be walked through sections or not.
What's not so great: Can't think of any.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

After I had it all done, checked, saved, it wouldn't send. It did not like my name, my email address, my password. You sent 6 emails, not one told me what you were looking for. I fell into something -- by mistake, probably, and it allowed me to finish. I spent HOURS just getting it to sent e-mail.
What's great about it: I've used Turbo Tax for years - never had trouble until now
What's not so great: I could not get it to send. It didn't like my name, my password, and every time I asked to update, it did nothing

I bought the Deluxe--Deductions and Homeowners--had to upgrade to premier, because of small investment. I did not need all of the other stuff. Thought is was a bit expensive, however I have never priced having the taxes done professionally, so really can't judge. Like the product and keeps me from having to read the mountains of instructions when doing the taxes without the software, still like to know more about the hows and whys, but like the ease of knowing all is in the correct place and that the arithmetic is correct. Like the more straight forward approach you are using now and not the "cute" stuff used in some of the past software. Thanks for continuing to improve your product. I will keep buying!
What's great about it: Easy to get around the site-and from forms to step by step
What's not so great: K-1 section was a bit confusing with specific questions about investments-not enough info to make decision

Turbo Tax Filing

Turbo tax is much cheaper than paying a tax preparer, but can be difficult if you are not familiar with what you need to add. K1 form for an LLP ask for thinks that were not available on the K1 sent to you from the Partnership company. The other thing was you cannot import files to your return to support information such as missing tax basis. Overall I would say it is an okay program.
What's great about it: Premier has all the forms you need to file
What's not so great: Guided section can be very confusing because you don't see where data is going unless you switch to forms

What took days on paper took a few hours

This is my first time using TurboTax and I was blown away at how good it was. I've prepared my taxes by hand and TurboTax did the same calcs and save me few hundred dollars when filing.
What's great about it: All forms and calcs performed for you.
Pros: I had a baby, I bought or sold investments
