not sure why at times, if you go back to look at a sections, boxes become unchecked and questions have to be re-answered again??

for a tax system that is insane, this is such a useful and effective tool. it would be impossible for me to file my own taxes if not for TT, thank you!
What's great about it: same as review title
What's not so great: still a few esoteric bugs, but very few

Not so good this year

- I bought the same product as last year to find that forms I usually need were missing and I had to buy a different product.
- I bought the more costly product - which had a lot of capability I did not need.
- The premier product acted like it downloaded the state forms, but did not.
- Online did not now I had a state to download. Many unhelpful screens...
- Repair software got an error (Uninstall/repair feature)
- The automated call guy does not have a choice for "I don't know" when he gives you a call number.
- UT State additions to income not clear on bonds to add.(Reciprocal states)

As easy as the IRS will allow

I have used TurboTax for years but due to unusual circumstances had a CPA do my taxes last year. Went back to TurboTax for my 2014 taxes. Was as easy as I remembered. Now if we could only simplify the Tax Code...
What's great about it: They guide you thru the process - step by step
What's not so great: ItsDeductable needs to have more items listed
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments

It would be really tough to do my own taxes without TurboTax. I also take the Audit Defense every year (it lets me sleep better). Most of the way it's pretty straightforward, but once in a while there are items that are very difficult to figure out. Some screens want you to pick a choice, but none of the choices are really correct for my situation. My other main problem is that, if I can't figure out what to enter on some screens and I want to check what the next one wants, once I hit continue it won't let me go back and correct the first one. Then the erroneous info gets carried forward automatically. Once I had to start a whole new return to correct a serious error. Thanks for letting me air my main problems. I hope you will continue improving TurboTax each year.
What's great about it: Guides me and pulls in last year's info automatically.
What's not so great: Sometimes you can't go back to screen you've just entered; also goes thru the same screens of info several times.

Generally good, but

Everything is pretty good except the handling of foreign tax credits. The mechanism for filling out Forms 1116 is even more messy than the form itself. I've had repeated glitches with the convoluted process that involves "linking" worksheets to copies of the form, and trying to do things more quickly by overriding idiotic steps in the form creates an "error" so that you can't e-file. If you have a complicated foreign tax credit situation, you may want to try another program.
What's not so great: Foreign Tax Handling is messy

What's great about it: Step by Step instructions which makes a lame man walk
