I really liked Turbotax, but there are a few things you could do to help. For instance, you imply that you will used downloaded forms from TD Ameritrade. That function has never worked for me, and I am still not sure my stock, dividends, etc. are correct.
What's great about it: Most things were simple.
What's not so great: Some things difficult to be sure I was correct.

TurboTax is awesome

Been using Turbo-Tax for many years. Love it. Easy to use, fast and convenient. Much better than taking files to someone else to do the things in which you can do yourself. TurboTax walks you through each phase so you can maximize what is legally available.
What's great about it: Quick, easy to use
What's not so great: E-Filing Charge for State Return
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

Turbo Tax Went the Extra Mile

I was shocked that I had to spend more this year for doing the same thing I did last year but the $25 refund will help. I had some questions on a couple of items and called Intuit for help and they were very helpful so thank you.
What's great about it: Help line
What's not so great: That the deluxe version had to be upgraded

I've been using TurboTax since the mid 1990's and I haven't had a problem with a tax return yet. TurboTax makes filing my taxes much easier than doing it by hand and then waiting anxiously for a refund check, it is less expensive (for me) than going to a brick & mortar tax preparation store, and using e-file with direct-deposit gets me my return lightning fast. And all is accomplished from the comfort of my own home. I have been recommending TurboTax to my family & friends since day one and will continue to do so.

Won't "TAX" Your Nerves!

The 2014 TurboTax Program (I use Premier) seemed superior to prior editions which I thought were great. Using the step-by-step feature, I breezed through all of the complicated forms (especially regarding our rental property) and was ready to file before I knew it. It was so easy that when I got to the end I was concerned I missed something -- but when the program performed the accuracy check, and it came back 100%, I was able to file my returns with confidence. Thank you Intuit!

Getting Even Easier

I have utilized the Turbo Tax software for as long as I can remember. Every year it seems to get easier to understand and navigate. I have a rental properties, so I have to use the premier addition. I am confident that the software covers every penny of my income and deductions.
What's great about it: Easy to follow prompts

Makes it easy

I like the way Turbo tax tracks all the basis for my IRAs and imports my information from the previous year. Also it makes it real easy to just jump to areas that I know I need to enter information.
However, when I see the real time changes in taxes owed that I don't understand, it is hard for me to figure out why. Also, when I make a mistake, such as accidentally call a conversion from an IRA to a ROTH a recharactorization, it is not easy to see that I made the mistake. Other mistakes are also sometimes hard to fix and sometimes you learn through the review process that they are not fixed completely.
