you charged for more than you should have

usually needed deluxe but this year everyone had to buy premium for what delux used to have in it.. next year i just may use a different program like h and r block or tax act.

Very user friendly but some updates should be made - Desktop program was not worth the hassles this year. Hard to find a number to call in for help. Prices seem to be extremely high.
What's great about it: User Friendly
What's not so great: Cannot click on form/line to make changes
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy to use!

I have used TurboTax for many years and it makes doing taxes relatively easy. I like how year to year comparisons are given throughout the process. This helps me remember what I deducted last year.
What's great about it: Documents from financial institutions loaded easily.
What's not so great: I wish I could put place holders to revisit sections.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Probably won't use TurboTax ever again

First, you messed up the software so I get a free upgrade. Except that the upgrade messed up the software so that it would never actually step through the state return. Finally found something in help to fix it. I get to the filing stage and somehow my federal gets filed but not my state. Now, even though the federal has been accepted by the IRS, TurboTax says it can't file the state without the federal. So now I have to mail in my state return even though I've already paid to e-file the state return. I'll likely not use TurboTax next year even though I have used it since 2005. The whole reason I buy tax software is to make it easy to do my taxes not so I can waste a lot of time trying to find answers in online help where I can't ask a question without signing up for yet another online account.
What's not so great: Software won't do basic this this year, like e-file a state return even though the federal return has been filed

2014 Turbo Tax

Turbo Tax does everything I need. I encountered a couple of software bugs in this year's program.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax is very comprehensive
What's not so great: More bugs in the software this year than in previous years

Every time I review the entries in turbo tax I find entries that have disappeared and have to continue filling out the same info.This also happened to a relative.
Program refuses to e-file my taxes for me and my printer is out of order. Frustrating.
I need to send this out tonight

Terrible experience with filing NQSOP

Doesn't handle well situation when reported numbers in the form 1099-B don't mach the amount in the form W-2 item 12-b and the numbers in the supplemental stock plan lot detail. Had to use Excel to make numbers matching in TurboTax.
