Best Turbo Tax Ever

This is the best TurboTax ever. It's by far the simplest to use — even when walking through steps, you can ignore stuff that obviously doesn't apply. Charitable donation list is much better too (though it still needs to be alphabetized). Gone is the unneeded to enter a date for each nonprofit.
What's great about it: Fastest Preparation
What's not so great: Charitable Donation list not alphabetized

Refund, ya baby!!

I used a different computer last year to do my taxes because I couldn't transfer my info from the previous year onto the new computer, even though I followed all the suggestions to transfer to a new computer. Frustration set in again this year and had to re-enter all the info this year. There has to be a better way to get info transferred when changing computers. Just saying. Thank you.
What's great about it: Easy to do taxes with Turbo Tax!
What's not so great: My 2013 taxes did not transfer over.

Save paper be efile

I love the download feature since I have many stock trades. It is important to use the same tax program year after year because it carries prior year data forward. I stop my IRA contributions for some time, but turbo tax remembers my after tax cost basis. Some entries on my tax return is still a mystery to me, the online explanation could be improved.
What's great about it: Save time and paper
What's not so great: state filing cost too much
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments

Little SARs guidance

I had great difficulty sorting out Stock Appreciation Rights. I finally realized I was getting double taxed because they were treated as ordinary income. Adding it as a capital gain meant a double tax.

Very Unhappy w Price increase for Brokerage import

I will not buy this product next year if this year's price holds for importing brokerage data (requiring "Premier" over "deluxe").
Price going up; it's a black box; every year gets more inflexible
A user for over 15 years but no longer!!! ... if you require "Premier" to import brokerage data

How I always do my taxes

I had to consolidate numerous stocks, bonds, mutual funds from three different financial companies into a single one during 2014. I did this to make handling my retirement funds easier. Unfortunately, this required me to sell a number of securities which had multiple buy/sell dates. Without the ability to import tax documents directly from the companies involved I would have had to have entered 50+ proceeds by hand. That and the real chance I would have missed something made TurboTax a godsend this year. I will sleep a lot easier tonight.
What's great about it: The ability to automatically import financial files from my financial institutions is a god send.
What's not so great: none with Turbo Tax

You have a great product that I gladly use each year. The marketing ploy to force upgrades to Premier edition was a total dud and beneath the quality of your overall product. I'll continue to give you the benefit of the doubt on this one, but please don't burn your reputation and credibility with your customer base on such gimmicks. Your credibility with me does not have an infinite outer limit.
What's great about it: The product works simply and eases an otherwise painful task.
What's not so great: Your attempt to cleverly force everyone to Premier was lame!
