Easy to Use

I have used Turbo Tax every year since 2000! I was pleased then, and I am pleased now. The app has gotten better with every release. The question and answer format decreased the amount of complexity that exists with taxes. My family and I thank you and give you a resounding keep up the Good Work!
What's great about it: Turbo Tax is very easy to use
What's not so great: No cons that I can think of
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Overall, i'd recommend this as a good product to use. Have been using TT for many years and always satisfied.
What's great about it: Simple and walkes you thru tough decisions
What's not so great: Sometimes confusing and not self exlanatory. Had trouble this year with DIV & 1099-B forms.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

disapointed in needing Premier
on April 14, 2015

Not sure why I needed to buy Premier with the additional expense. Hadn't had to do that before with a K-1.
What's great about it: fairly easy to get through
What's not so great: never had to buy Premier before

Mostly Uses Language I Can Understand
on April 14, 2015

TurboTax walks me through the same questions an accountant would ask, but with more information. By putting my answers directly into the forms, I can complete our return without paying the pro. I have more confidence the return is correct. However, unusual situations are difficult to deal with. I don't like the state tax Q & A format because it is much less detailed.
I like being able to see the forms during the process as well.
What's great about it: Walks me through all the questions needed for our situation
What's not so great: State return is cryptic, and little help for print-and-file if I don't pay the e-file fee

Seamless from year to year
on April 14, 2015
Posted by: KSVIDAL
It just gets easier every year. I know what to expect, I know what to save in a "Taxes" file, and it's all at my fingertips. I had to do my taxes at the last minute this year due to other obligations, but it was still stress-free with TurboTax. Thanks.
What's great about it: Just need to update numbers and it's done!
What's not so great: Paying taxes is always a drag -

will premier cost me extra next year?
on April 14, 2015
Posted by: ryft
What wont be covered next year? I have a $300 mutal fund that had $4 in dividends, forcing a free upgrade to premier, does that mean I'll have to pay an extra $20 for premier next year? I just may do my taxes lon ghand or switch to h&R block. The price of the software keeps increasing and whats included keeps decreasing. I liked it the early 2000's versions better.
What's not so great: $4 in foriegn capital gains forced upgrade
